Things are A-Changin’ … Again
The Lord works in mysterious ways. Four weeks ago, while trying to finish up an assignment for my Personal Assessment and Intro to Ministry class, I was suddenly struck with a series of realizations that threw me once again into the whirlwind of change. To make a long story short, I have accepted a position at Apple and will be starting on November 30th.
As a result of this I have decided to withdraw from Trinity. I have truly loved my time here and have met some truly wonderful people. They will be particularly hard to leave behind even though I have only been here a short time. But I came to realize that my true passions lie in the development and use of technology. Through the near-constant urging of one of my best friends, Marshall, who works at Apple, I decided to submit an application for an open position in his department to see if God would open the doors. And open the doors He did. In less than 5 weeks, I have gone through the application, two phone interviews, an in-person interview at Apple’s campus in California, and finally an offer, which I accepted today. I am super excited about this opportunity that God has all but dropped in my lap.
So I begin a new phase of life and I am super excited. Through God’s unsearchable will and incomparable grace, I have the opportunity to once again work with one of my best friends at one of the best companies in the world, working on the most awesome piece of tech in this generation. For the next few weeks I will be working on packing up my apartment in preparation for the movers and should be in California just before Thanksgiving.
I want to especially thank everyone who has been praying for me throughout this whole process. I have been so blessed by all your support and can say with confidence that your prayers have been answered. Please continue to pray with me as I make this transition; that all the details and logistics will proceed smoothly, that I can find a place to live, and that I can find a church that I can get plugged into.
I will continue to keep you all updated as things progress.
Cheers!

Wow! Congratulations Nathan! That’s great news. I can see why you’re super excited.
Love you,
Aunt Laura
Hi Nathan, How exciting!!! Your life has been full of change and opportunities this past year. How wonderful to know for certain what your path should be. You have spend a good amount of time exploring different options and the Lord has led you to such a dream come true for you!You have always loved high tech and you have been able to put it do good use up to this point. Now you can be a part of the new inovations and be a light in a sea of secular “darkness”. That is a mission field if I ever heard of one!!!And you can stretch that boundless mind of yours and reach new potential. I am so happy for you!! Where in California will you be? Up north or down here? It would sure be nice having you closer again. But that comes from your biased Aunt.
Kudos again and I look forward to hearing about things as they deveop!! Love, Aunt Paula
Congratulations Nathan!
We pray for a smooth transition into your new life.
love,
Uncle Jim and Aunt Debbie

well my man, it has been a pleasure, i think, having you in my state. i wish i could have actually hung out with you, but since i’m going to be in oregon in two weeks, st louis before that and working all through the middle, the odds of that are slim.
in short, i wish you all the best. and congrats on the new job.
Life is full of surprises! So glad we saw you last month and may your new job be an excellent fit!
Nathan,
We are so glad for you. While I don’t know you real well, I think the job is a very good fit for you!
